How are you celebrating change in your life? Winter officially begins this year on December 21st with the Winter Solstice on December 22nd 2023. Twice yearly one of the Earth’s poles reaches its maximum tilt away from the Sun creating the shortest day and the longest night. For the Northern Hemisphere it’s the December Solstice (21st or 22nd) and Southern Hemisphere it’s the June Solstice (20th or 21st). It’s a great festival time for being with loved ones, singing, dancing, feasting, around fires. The winter solstice marks the beginning of lengthening days and shortening nights.
