Finding Harmony in the Between

Embracing simplicity in a journey of complexity is about finding harmony in the between.
40 years ago, I graduated high school. Three years later, the Berlin Wall fell. Today, I find myself once again at a crossroads—this time, not of walls, but of expression. As I stand barefoot on the grass, grounding myself in the present, I’m reminded that sometimes, less is more.
As I sit in the sunshine at East Side Gallery, the Spree River flowing beside me, I reflect on the journey that has brought me here. It’s been 40 years since I walked across the stage of high school, and just three years after that, the Berlin Wall fell—an event that reshaped not only a city but a generation.
In this moment, I feel the weight of reflection and the lightness of release. I recently shared a raw video reflection on my personal Facebook, a six-minute journey into my past and a glimpse into my upcoming Summer trip to the USA to celebrate 40 years of life since we graduated. It was a simple act, but one that felt monumental—a release of all the expression that has been waiting to come out.
The Power of Simplicity
In a world that often demands perfection, I am learning the beauty of simplicity. I’ve been overthinking my next blog post, caught in the tension between the depth of my experiences and the desire to communicate them clearly. I realize now that less is more. It’s not about saying everything at once; it’s about honoring the moment and allowing expression to unfold naturally.
Upcoming Free Group Coffeeshop Coaching Session
This Sunday, June 7, 2026, I will be hosting a free group coffeeshop coaching session on Zoom. I invite you to join me as we navigate this journey together, exploring the harmony that exists in the space between our experiences.
I challenge you to share your authentic expression
As I embrace this new phase, I encourage you to do the same. Allow yourself to start small, to express simply, and to find harmony in the between. Your journey is unique, and it deserves to be shared—raw, real, and beautifully imperfect.
“In the depths of reflection, we find the roots of our becoming. In the simplicity of expression, we discover the freedom of our voice.” ~ Melody Taylor-Fliege
